The Princess Bride

I really enjoyed watching "Princess Bride" in Film and Video because it tells the story of how Buttercup and her true love fall in love and then are separated because of a tragedy. Another great thing about this movie is that the characters make their tragedies and confusions have a positive and lighthearted perspective, and they also pull the truth from any scandal that the villain creates. It's also helpful to know how many of the characters approach their problems, for instance Buttercup's true love and the villain have a face-off and they are confused when they switch wines. In addition I liked how the prince and Buttercup ended up falling in love again. In conclusion, this movie was a lighthearted and comical movie.

The enjoyment of Intro to Film & Video

My favorite part of Mr. Hamilton's class has been watching different movies and learning about the different techniques on film making and the lengthy process that goes with it. We have gotten to see what technology is used to make each process less time consuming and less costly. We've even explored the expenses that came with having a colored TV versus a black and white one. My two favorite films have been the uncovering of the scandal behind the game show "21," and  "The Social Network" about the development and launching of Facebook.  "21" was one of my favorites because the one who kept the scandal hidden came out and confessed that he didn't want to look bad.  In "The Social Network" I liked how Mark and his team came together to make sure Facebook was a success.  Our class has also learned about the different networks of television and how most of them started out in radio and then moved to television. Film and video has also allowed us to explore the different radio stations and their different frequencies all across the United States.  Different host and co-hosts have been in radio as the years have progressed.  An exciting part of the class has been writing movie reviews for the movies we have watched.  Another interesting layer to film and video has been taking quizzes and working on group projects.  My favorite was the crossword puzzle for television. These would serve as bonus points which would be added to the next test.  On a scale of one to ten, this class would get a 10.

FROZEN

One of the most popular movies of this year is Frozen from Disney.  Overall, it was great! On a scale of one to ten, I would give the movie a nine and a half.  One of my favorite parts of the movie was when Ana, one of the main characters, meets Hans, prince of the Southern Isles.  Another one of my favorite parts was when Ana met Christoff's family, which turned out to be trolls! The movie also featured many songs, but my favorites were "Love is An Open Door" and "Let it Go."  I liked the first song because it shows Hans and Ana first falling in love and I liked Let it Go because Elsa creates her own castle of ice. It was such a great movie! I think everyone should see it.
